Nyulop Subspecies
Nyulop Subspecies Guide
Nyulop are one of two prominent species found living in Whistler Crest. They are a resilient, adaptive species that can be found outside of our little settlement too!
The variations in these different subspecies have been brought about by unique habitats and lifestyles. These different 'breeds' have evolved in such a way as to best exist within their respective environments. Here you will see how these Nyulop differ from one another both physically and mentally.
All Nyulop still follow the Lucky/Unlucky system of charm, so despite being different in many ways, the variations will all still have the same features which denote Lucky or Unlucky magic. Additionally, it is possible for these subspecies to experience Amelio Phenomena, but at this point in time it seems they are far less susceptible to it. No one knows why!
These subspecies of Nyulop can not be freely created as MYOs. They will be available to all members, but not through the same system as the standard Nyulop. They will be accessible through adopts, giveaways and some other unique methods in the future!
Standard Nyulop
Rarity: Common ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Standard Nyulop are the most common breed of Nyulop found in Kladeon. They are considered to be the common ancestor to all offshoots. The Standard Nyulop is capable of living in a wide variety of habitats as they are capable of adapting to new environments. Their most notable feature is the fact that Amelio Phenomena seem to be much more common and widespread within their population.
Standard Nyulop Anatomy
The Standard Nyulop, being the most common, is often used as the paradigm to which all other breeds are compared. As such, their physical features are often treated as the "common" type, and are very well documented and understood. The Standard Nyulop is average in height, within the various breeds, standing between 5'4" and 5'10" in height. They have sizable ears, prominent fangs and powerful limbs and paws. They are capable of walking upright and on all fours, alternating between both comfortably.
Standard Whiskers:
They have medium sized teardrop shaped 'whiskers'. They are prominent and easily visible on their rounded face. They are evenly spaced apart and almost appear to frame their face. Lucky whiskers are rounded while Unlucky whiskers have a notch.
Standard Ears:
They have medium sized oval ears with tufts of fur around the base. Their ears are very expressive, able to swivel and flatten, often conveying their emotions. Lucky ears are rounded while Unlucky ears are notched.
Baby Standard Nyulop
Dwarf Nyulop
Rarity: Uncommon ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
Dwarfism in Nyulop is far more common nowadays than it had been in the past. This is believed to be because of rapidly growing urbanization forcing many Nyulop out of their spacious habitats and into smaller living conditions within cities. Dwarf Nyulop are most similar to their Standard counterparts, with very few differences found between them aside from stature.
Dwarf Nyulop are known to be agile and quick witted, and are often considered to be the most intelligent and ingenuitive of the Nyulop subspecies. Their more urban lifestyles removes the need for physical strength and size.
Dwarf Nyulop Anatomy
Dwarf Nyulop are much smaller than Standard Nyulop, standing between 2'07" and 3' in height. They have small, round ears, a softer mouth lacking the notches a Standard Nyulop has, and unique eyes. They are capable of walking upright and on all fours, alternating between both comfortably.
Dwarf Whiskers:
They have smaller, rounder teardrop shaped whiskers which
sit close together on their circular face shape.
Dwarf Ears:
They have two-toned inner ears, featuring two similar yet distinct colours. This colour may be any darker shade of the main colour of their inner ear.
Dwarf Eyes:
They have developed a unique eye type which resulted in dual coloured irises.
A ring of colour can be found around their pupil which differs from the rest of the iris. This ring may be any colour but pure black or pure white.
Baby Dwarf Nyulop
Baby Dwarf Nyulop, or kits, are smaller and rounder than any other Nyulop infant. They are also considerably fluffier! They have extremely plush coats and have been compared to cotton balls. They have very short limbs, small facial features and little round ears that sit atop their heads. Their tails are especially large at this stage of their life, and they are often used as a sleeping place or blanket for the baby. The develop at the same rate as Standard kits.

History of Dwarfism
Brydon City, located to the far west of Whistler Crest.
It is believed that Dwarfism in Nyulop originated in Brydon City. The first documented cases of this breed were from this settlement, and it has been the location to host the largest population of Dwarf Nyulop in the whole of Kladeon. It is theorized that the dense population within the city, and the limited amount of living space, forced this evolutionary adaption from an already very versatile species. In order to conform to a lifestyle which favoured less space, Dwarfism arose as a means of better functioning within this environment.
Dwarfism is a fairly recent adaptation but the breed has already rising in population to become the second most common subspecies of Nyulop.
Leporid Nyulop
Rarity: Uncommon/Rare ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
Leporid Nyulop are the desert dwelling cousin to the Standard Nyulop. They are a hardy breed, capable of living in the most extremely climates, and able to withstand extremely high and low temperatures. Unlike the majority of Nyulop, this breed is more active at dusk. They are known to be active during the day, but are usually more sluggish and less energetic.
Leporid's are extremely lithe and fit Nyulop, being the most muscular of the breeds, and capable of great feats of agility. They are not nearly as social as their counterparts, not usually found living in groups, but they are still considered to be extremely loyal friends and family.
Leporid Nyulop Anatomy
Leporid Nyulop are much larger than Standard Nyulop, standing between 5'10" and 6'07" in height. They have tall ears, a softer mouth lacking the notches a Standard Nyulop has, and a V shaped body. They are capable of walking upright and on all fours, alternating between both comfortably.
Leporid Whiskers:
They have slightly longer and thinner "blown-back" whiskers, with the unlucky variations having deeper notches than those of Standard Nyulop. They rest relaxed against their more angular shaped face.
Leporid Ears:
They have elongated and slender ears. Within the ear, at the tip, there is a darker colour marking. This may be any colour but it must be the darkest colour on your Nyulop and can't be pure white or pure black.
Leporid Fur:
They have tufts of fur which stand out longer than the rest of their short coat. It is unknown why these tufts exist, but it has become a signifying trait of their breed. These tufts are located on their shoulders, elbows and sides. Their cheeks, and around the base of their ears, also feature this tuft-like fur.
Baby Leporid Nyulop
Baby Leporid kits are lanky and tall when compared to others of their species. They also are born with clawed front and hind paws. They have elongated limbs and massive ears. They are also much more independent than their counterparts. It is not uncommon for Leporid kits to be seen foraging for food or exploring their territory. They are prideful young Nyulop and from an early age seek freedom. They have a strong desire to run and play. The develop at the same rate as Standard kits.

History of Leporidism
Cobey Desert, located to the south of Whistler Crest.
Leporid Nyulop were first documented in the massive expanse that is the Cobey Desert. The incredibly harsh and largely barren landscape is credited with pushing the evolutionary adaptations of Lepordism onto the Nyulop species. The desert itself provides very hostile living conditions for the inhabitants, with little vegetation for their diet, Leporid Nyulop have developed to eat less than their counterparts while also becoming excellent scavengers for berries and other plant life.

The Cobey Desert is very dry, seeing minimal rainfall yearly, which has prompted Leporid to dig for water deposits and feed on cacti. Their diets consist most of roots, seeds and berries, as there is very little in the way of plant growth. There are small settlements within the desert, but they are few and far between.
Mythle Nyulop
Rarity: Ultra Rare/Extinct(?) ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Mythle are breed of Nyulop which boasts very little documentation. Not much is known about this subspecies other than it resides in a forest habitat and have proven to be extremely elusive. Sightings of these Nyulop has diminished considerably in recent years, leading many to believe they may have gone completely extinct. Wide spread knowledge simply does not exist about them. They do, however, find residence in fairy tales.
Many Nyulop believe that these rare creatures are simply hiding away to protect themselves...but from what? No one knows...
Mythle Nyulop Anatomy
From what is known about Mythle, they are slender and lithe Nyulop, with a very serpent-like body shape. They are known to have small Draken-like horns on their heads, have longer whiskers, scaled noses, strange under eye markings, feathers growing from their pelts, thick fur on their hind legs and a long and fluffy tail. Unlike their counterparts, Mythle have clawed hand paws and hind paws with no visible paw pads. They have smaller mouths and larger eyes. They are said to move silently and have been referred to as the ghosts of the forest.
Mythle Whiskers:
They have long and slender, slightly curled whiskers that rest in a relaxed position on this unique face shape. The unlucky variation of these whiskers have more shallow notches than those of a Standard Nyulop.
Mythle Ears:
They have a very unique ear shape. They're slender and appear to be less flexible than other ear types, with a very distinct shape.
Mythle Feathers:
Feathers grow naturally from the manes and forearms of these Nyulop. The feathers are simple in shape and match the colour of their pelt.
Mythle Snout Scales:
They have a patch of scales which grows naturally on their snouts. They vary in colour, but are always a single consistent one.
Baby Mythle Nyulop
Infant Mythle kits are said to be small and thin, but extremely fast, and able to scurry away at the slightly hint of danger. Compared to other kits, Mythle offspring are very skittish, often considered timid and downright shy. They stay close to their parents and are not comfortable in the presence of strangers. They can, however, warm up to others...albeit slowly.
Not much else is known about Mythle kits.
History of Mythle
Unknown Forest, location unknown.
It is currently unknown where Mythle originated.

They are said to live in a forested area, but know one knows where this supposed habitat resides.

What is known is that this area:
1) has an abundance of a strange mushroom;
2) has small firefly-like glowing creatures;
3) it has never been documented on a map.
