As explained in the Drakesprite page, all Drakesprites are born with varying types of traits, called “features”. Drakesprites hatch with all of their features already set, so unlike Draken and Nyulop they do not possess the ability to gain and remove amelio phenomena. It’s not known whether or not the Drakesprite’s features are some kind of amelio phenomena or if it is just a very coincidental species trait.

Regardless of the reasoning, features made Drakesprites a very sought after pet in earlier years. They were often taken in by powerful magic users, as their ability to recycle dead mana at a rapid pace made them valuable for casting powerful magic. It was said they used to be found all over the place. Common Drakesprites were often found in the wild and around cities and towns peacefully coexisting with the inhabitants. The more rare the drakesprite, the more often it was the companion of a magic user.

Ears

Ears

Drakesprites have very good hearing, and as such the most basic and common ear type are very long ears. Short ears are also common, but it does not seem that the type of ear affects their amazing hearing either way. Drakesprites use their hearing to detect bigger creatures that roam their habitats.

Horns

Horns

Drakesprites normally do not naturally grow horns despite their namesake. Horns on a Drakesprite are generally uncommon and do not do much to facilitate their survival, but they can look very fantastical!

Wings

Wings

The wings are the core of a Drakesprites very being! They do not often walk at all, due to their short arms and legs. Drakesprite wings are much stronger than they look, even though it doesn’t look like the wings should be able to carry them at all. Drakesprite wings allow a Drakesprite to hover in the air almost indefinitely though sometimes you might be able to catch a Drakesprite resting for a few minutes...

Tails

Tails

Drakesprite tails are a notable feature, contributing to their noodle-like body structure. Drakesprite tails are most often long, but short tailed Drakesprites have been known to exist. They seem to use their tails to cling to tree branches and keep their balance.

Pure White

Common Drakesprite colors may not be any lighter or darker than the image below dictates. When you are coloring your Drakesprite, take care not to make them too grey. These rules also apply to every other color on the rarity scale besides pure white and pure black.

We must be able to easily tell what color the Drakesprite is, as this decides its abilities.
If the color of the Drakesprite isn’t easily discernible at first glance, it is not a valid color.
